SCHENGEN STATE Please read this note for all Schengen Countries.

Schengen Territory Indian Nationals can obtain short stay visa for a period ranging from one to ninety days, valid for all countries of the Schengen Territory i.e. Austria, Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland. The Schengen Convention is a great step towards freedom of circulation of people. Foreigners bearing a valid stay permit delivered by one of the Schengen states can leave and later re-enter the Schengen Territory without having to ask for a visa again, on condition that they have a valid passport and relevant travel document and a multiple entry visa. Application for visas have to be submitted with the competent Consular authorities, which are to be determined according to the following criter

If the Applicant intends to stay in one Country only, the application should be submitted at the Representation of the same Country. If the Applicant wishes to travel to several Member States, the application should be submitted at the Representation of the Country where the main purpose of travel lies, determined by the duration of the stay. If the main destination cannot be ascertained, the Country of the first port of entry into Schengen Territory is regarded as the competent Consular office for processing the application. Long term visas are still subject to the laws of the Country of Destination. They must be applied for at the Consular Authorities of the concerned Member States.

Tourist (C-Type)
The Applicant should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Greece (previous passport or passports may also be reque One visa form (photocopy allowed) duly completed and signed by the Applicant or by parents if the Applicant is under 18 years of age. One recent passport size photograph with against a white background (35-40mm in width). A Covering Letter from the Applicant stating the reason for travel to Greece, and the duration of stay. Hotel Reservation copy (fax or scan) on Hotel's Letterhead. One copy to be faxed directly to the Embassy. Proof of sponsorship. If Self-employed, evidence of the Business. If Salaried, Employment Letter from the current Organization stating the Position and a No-Objection Letter confirming the leave status. Onward visa and evidence of sufficient means to finance stay in Greece. Financial Requirements: Original Bank account statements (Personal) for the last 3 months attested with the seal of the bank. Original Income Tax Returns (Personal) for the last 3 years. Copy of Pan Card. Salary slips (if applicable). Foreign Exchange endorsement on the passport/ For-ex receipt/ copy of Credit Card along with statement/ Traveler's Cheques. Confirmed return air ticket. Students are required to submit a Letter from their University/ School confirming their status/ attendance indicating the holiday period a dated permission of absence. If visiting family or friends, a certificate of lodging and financial support established by one of the acquaintances and attested by Greek Police Authorities is required. For children under 18, a notarized 'No-objection Certificate' from non- accompanying parents. Please note for all original documents submitted, a set of photocopy is required. Processing time is 7 to 10 working days.
